Lakeside English Formal

In essence, a "Lakeside English Formal Garden” is a formal English garden design set against a lakeside backdrop.

Located in Lake Angelus Michigan, this garden was developed upon ‘Axial Symmetry’ which aided in the creation of the various garden rooms. These garden rooms include a Formal Elemental Garden, Motor-Courtyard Garden, Side Transition Gardens, Hosta Garden, and a regal Front Entry Garden. The rose arches that help frame the tunnel view were inspired by Monet’s Giverny. Overlooking the garden from the house and terraces, one gazes upon the four elements residing over the garden, shimmering in the morning air.
